Nanda van Asperen

Founder and Creative Director

Nanda’s love for couture is inherited, passed down through generations. Growing up in a family of pattern cutters, Nanda has always been passioned by the slow process of creating or restoring clothes. The thoughtful exactness that goes into each design, the hard work that follows, the beautiful finished product. Nurturing this deep-rooted passion and her interest in women psychology, she started blending traditional craftsmanship and artisanal skills with a playful, open and creative mind.

With the launch of Amber Abare, Nanda wants to create impeccably executed couture pieces that reach far beyond fast fashion, concentrating on fit and quality instead of trends. Designing pieces that reflect women’s (desired) personalities and give them the means to express themselves and delight in their femininity is at the forefront of the brand’s ethos.
